Custom Wedding Party Jewelry

I never had a chance to share this before – life has been so very busy. Back in September, a very dear friend of mine got married. Her wedding theme was Hawaii as her and her husband had some special memories there and were going back on their honeymoon. She wanted me to come up with something simple and pretty for her bridesmaids, flower girls, and herself. We found some lovely charms online, some were personalized for each member of the bridal party, and we also got some Hawaiian style flowers and pretty flower beads to accent. We did bracelets for the flower girls & daughter of the bride, necklaces and bracelets for the bridesmaids and maid of honor, and of course the bride herself.

Here’s me with the beautiful bride!

Then we ended up getting inspired to do matching pieces for the mother of the groom and bride.

Finally, for one of my friend’s older daughters who is a little bit less girly than the rest of the group (and plays the guitar), I did a “friendship bracelet” style piece in matching colours to what everybody else was wearing, with a guitar charm as an addition instead of a flower.

CiM Harvest and Chartreuse

I tested two colours for Creation is Messy recently – Harvest and Chartreuse. Here are my results! Also I’ve come to realize that this website needs a bit of a makeover and some updating, so I will be working on that. I’d really like to get back to blogging about my glasswork and colour experiments so stay tuned! These spacer beads are available through my Etsy shop, http://madeforyoulampwork.etsy.com/

This was a beautiful buttery soft and creamy opaque orange. It gave me some really pretty blush as I worked it (the glass was not all one tone but gave me some nice variation). It also etched beautifully.

This is a really brilliant bright acid green. A tiny bit shocky and bubbly to work with but I am never “gentle” with glass – I tend to go right into the flame with it. And I found it manageable once I got the rod going. This glass only etched very slightly.

New Val Cox Frit Colours!

Well, here is something to get excited about – a whole new set of blends from Val Cox Frit! I just got mine last week so all I have had time to do so far is spacers, but I am absolutely loving each and every one of these blends, and I can’t wait to see more of them… when I get caught up on my orders I will be doing a ton more experimenting!

Go buy the blends here – at ValCoxFrit.com!

Check out my Etsy shops for ready to ship and made to order spacers as seen below…
